Welcome to the start of our exciting new vision for the Hall.


For over 125 years the Grade II listed Victoria Hall has a proud history of meeting the cultural, social and community needs of people in Grange, the Cartmel Peninsular and the wider region. Now owned, run and subsidised by Grange Town Council, the Victoria Hall acts as a venue for hire, enabling access to leading facilities at a fraction of the cost of other equivalent buildings in the region. The Victoria Hall has always had a mix of local amateur and regional professional hirers. Local community groups take advantage of our generous, subsidised hire rates. The Victoria Hall is busy - with over 28,000 users and visitors per year. With events such as art classes, lectures, committee meetings, classical concerts, discos, yoga and pickleball the Hall meets many social, health, cultural and community support needs.


We are exclusively funded by the Parish Precept, paid by home owners in Grange Parish only - which is just over 2000 homes. This does not generate enough money to carry out future-proofing improvements to a Grade II listed building like the Victoria Hall.


To remain relevant and cost effective the Victoria Hall needs outside funding and support so that future generations will use and love the Victoria Hall as much as those of the first 125 years.

We have a planned programme of public events to engage with our communities to discuss and refine our outline aims below.

  • Saving energy - We waste energy

  • Accessibility Improvements - The Vic is not fit for everyone’s needs 

  • Main Foyer improvements

  • Dressing Room Renovations 

  • Redecorate/Renovate

  • Renovate the front face of the building
