Main Hall

The stunning main hall can seat up to 288 people and is perfect for film, dance, theatre and fitness events.


From dances and lectures to full theatre productions and craft fairs, the Hall can be used for a wide range of events. Versatile lighting and sound systems plus a whole suite of room layouts to choose from make this space easy to modify to suit your needs. If you have a specific idea in mind, talk to our Hall Team, and we'll do our best to accommodate your vision.


The Hall has a projector and screen, as well as a sound system.

We have the facilities to provide a bar service. If this is something you're interested in, get in touch for more details.

Just off the Main Hall is a chair and table store, storing up to 96 additional chairs, and 27 tables ranging from 4ft in length to 6ft.

The room has Wi-Fi, and refreshments are available on request.

Notes on the Main Hall

The Hall is very large, so for smaller events we recommend the Chamber or The Old Police Room. The Kitchen is close by, and toilets can be found just off the Main Hall.

Dressing Rooms

If your hall booking involves being on stage, the Dressing Rooms and backstage areas are included, unless stated by the Hall Manager.

The Dressing Rooms can also be hired separately for classes and small hires.


Grand Piano

For music performances, the Grand Piano can be used with the permission of the Hall Manager.


We recommend trying out the piano before-hand to ensure that it is correctly tuned for your performance.


Bar*

Hiring the bar includes an alcohol sales license, CE marked glassware (beer and wine), 2 fridges and the bar itself.

Hirers must supply their own drink, and ensure all laws regarding alcohol sales are kept to.

Stage Lights*

For stage performances, hirers can use the stage lights. The Hall does not have an in-house light technician on staff, but can provide basic troubleshooting.

Additional Staging*

If you need additional performance space, temporary staging is available as one, two or three tiers. Perfect for choirs, catwalks and bespoke performances.
